Hi there. My name is Chris and I’m a South African photographer living in South Korea.
Photographs are a major part of my life. Making them is both my career, and the way I understand the world around me. Writing, I think, will help me do both better, and maybe doing so in public will be helpful to you.
The writing I do here will be focused on:
documentary photo practice
sharing what I’ve learned as a working photographer
developing a sense of context for my work
My hope is that this newsletter finds its way to people like me, photographers hungry for a deeper connection to their work, and for a community that believes in thoughtful image making.
