Loved this post Chris and the sketchbook page on your website is amazing (I only wish us viewers could click to see things larger!). So much great stuff there that you should really do more with. It's very inspiring actually. As you alluded to, with our own website we've tried to put across this sort of visual consistency, a self-curation that we thought the site needed – but I think you are right that introducing a playful element can really help, and I really like how you implemented it. It's almost like you have a Tumblr page built-in.
That's super kind Tom, thank you for having a look. I'll see if I can make increasing the image size an option but I'm a bit of a web-dev caveman haha.
I had a look through your website and I think the consistency suits well what you two are up to! Some lovely images there:-)
There is a Tumblr quality to the sketchbook now that you mention it! It was the first place I started sharing photos and I guess the influence endures.
Wise words. Luckily photography doesn't pay my bills, so I can play all I want 😉 Great post!
Thanks Ronald:-)
Thanks Chris - a good reminder to get out of the comfort zone to stretch ourselves!
Thanks Paul~ This most is a reminder for me as much as anyone!
